1About Me
Shwmae, Shane dw i. I am a seasoned Welsh tutor with extensive experience in instructing numerous students in the Welsh language. My tutoring journey commenced during the Covid pandemic, and I have since witnessed many students thrive and reach their Welsh language objectives. After completing the Welsh for Adults course and advancing my studies to a degree level, I am now eager to share my expertise with other learners.
It doesn’t matter what your level, it is possible for anyone to learn Welsh. Not only have I experience in teaching Welsh, but I’ve also worked for New Directions, and agency that have placed me as a cover supervisor in a number of Welsh-medium schools throughout Wales supporting schools during the leave of their teaching staff. I am committed to teaching Welsh and making Cymraeg 2050 happen.
My teaching style
I will use the first lesson to get to know the learner, it is important to understand the best techniques to support the learner in their journey. From there I will devise an individual plan and ensure that the learner get’s the best experience learning with me. I will also provide the learner with suggestions of things to watch or do so that they are not only making the most of their Welsh within the lesson, but they have the opportunity outside the lesson too.
My past experience
I started tutoring through Covid, and have had many students during that time.
My Proudest Achievements
Learning a language from scratch and then getting to study a subject that I am passionate about to degree level.
