Hana
About Me
Hello, my name is Hana and I am a first-year medical student at Imperial College London.
I would love to be your tutor to guide you through the medicine application process or support you with your school subjects!
I remember finding the application process tricky and overwhelming so I would love to share my experience and help make things easier- whether it be through admission tests, personal statements, selecting medical schools or preparing for interviews.
Since I was young, I have always been passionate with school subjects, especially sciences and maths. I have been enjoying medical school, and I love to share my passion for academics to help you understand and get a grasp at the tricky content and improve your exam technique! I can teach biology, chemistry and maths up to A level and physics up to GCSE.
In my free time, I play the piano and violin in my university orchestra. I also enjoy staying active by going to the gym or dancing. I love going out with my friends and exploring London- it has definitely been a big change to growing up in a small village in Leicestershire!
I have always been passionate about helping other students as I understand how daunting application season and GCSEs/A levels can be! I want to help as many people as I can so please feel free to reach out!
My teaching style
I have always been described as a detailed- orientated and adaptable person so I will be able to plan our lessons to what suits your learning style the best! I am always happy to listen to any suggestions and focus on the areas you feel need improving.
From my experience, I believe that focusing on understanding the content and practising exam technique is very important. I will ensure that you get lots of practice doing exam questions or mock interviews!
My past experience
I have experience in tutoring students studying at KS3, GCSE and A level. I am glad I have had this experience as I believe that it has allowed me to understand how to break down and explain difficult concepts in simple and clear terms.
I have experience critiquing personal statements for UCAS applications and advising younger years in my school about the medicine and dentistry application process on the UCAT exam and interviews.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement has been receiving the opportunity to study medicine at one of my dream universities! I did find the application process very challenging, but I am so grateful to have overcome that barrier and for the support I received from others to be where I am now.
