5About Me
Hello! I am Safa Saeed – a Law graduate from the University of Oxford. My biggest aim is to help other students with the Oxbridge admissions process, which often appears daunting. Unfortunately, this can prevent applicants from considering Oxbridge. However, I will show my students that by breaking down the entire admissions process into sections, and breaking down each section into achievable goals, the process can be properly managed! I provide help with personal statement drafting, LNAT admissions (multiple choice section and the essay), college selection and mock interviews. I am a sociable and friendly individual such that students can communicate any concerns they may have, whilst also receiving an incredibly high-standard of tuition. During my time at Oxford, I was involved with the Law Society, my college’s JCR and the netball team. Beyond academics, I enjoy running, travelling and art, particularly drawing!
My teaching style
My teaching style is (i) organisation and time management combined with (ii) creating an open, honest and relaxed space. On (i), I believe that a lack of structure and direction can damage a student’s admissions process before it has even started. Instead, efficiently organising the goals of each student into a manageable schedule helps provide the required focus needed for each stage of the admissions process. On (ii), the atmosphere of a tuition session is essential for a student’s success. A tuition session should serve as a forum for each student to develop ideas with confidence, whilst still receiving constructive and honest feedback. No question is ever a bad question and I want to help each student delve into their chosen subject, such that they view the admissions process as a positive learning experience, as opposed to a source of worry!
My past experience
Yes, I have tutored students from my former school for two years in Oxbridge admissions, including mocks interviews and personal statement drafting. I have also tutored in GCSE Mathematics and Chemistry.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement is my commitment to volunteering internationally. I have raised £25,000 for charity and completed a humanitarian aid mission in Jordan in 2022. I have also taught English with Teach for India in Mumbai for a month.
