About Me
I am a first-year graduate entry medical student at The University of Oxford. I am deeply committed to helping students realise their full academic potential by identifying and building upon their individual strengths and natural abilities.
In 2020 I received offers to study medicine at The University of Edinburgh, Manchester University and Southampton University but in order to gain educational experience prior to starting medical school I accepted an offer at the University of British Columbia to study Chemical Biology. Following the completion of this degree I was accepted into the graduate entry medicine programme at The University of Oxford where I am currently studying. I offer tutoring in A-Level Chemistry and Biology, as well as guidance for medical school personal statements, and preparation for the UCAT and MCAT admissions tests.
In the 2024 UCAT sitting, I achieved a score within the top 2% of all test-takers. Additionally, I have professional experience writing UCAT practice questions for multiple educational organisations, further refining my insight into the skills and strategies required for success.
My approach to tutoring is structured, supportive, and tailored to each student’s individual learning style, ensuring that they are well-equipped to excel both academically and personally.
My teaching style
My teaching is guided by the needs and aims of the student and I will work with each student to identify areas that they can improve in alongside identifying their strengths and their preferred way of learning. I like to keep all classes as interactive as possible and I am always open to feedback from the student to improve in what I offer them. For A-level/GCSE chemistry and biology tutoring, lessons will be a mixture of going through key topics or topics identified by the student as challenging followed by working through exam style questions together. For UCAT tutoring I will teach students a variety of techniques that they can use to approach questions in each of the sections so that they can find which strategies work best for them. Following this I will help students target areas of improvement and keep them on track to meet their target score.
My past experience
I have experience as a teaching assistant for an undergraduate chemistry course.
