About Me
I am a dedicated Science Teacher with an outstanding QTS award and extensive experience teaching GCSE sciences, A-Level biology, BTEC applied science, and Health and Social Care. I possess strong subject and pedagogical knowledge, with a particular focus on developing a research-based curriculum tailored to achieve excellent outcomes, especially for students requiring SEND and SEMH support. I am committed to supporting students both academically and pastorally to help them achieve excellence inside and outside the classroom.
My teaching style
My teaching style is inclusive and student-centered, emphasizing the use of researched strategies to engage learners at all levels, including those with SEND and SEMH needs. I focus on creating a supportive environment through restorative conversations and individualized planning, ensuring lessons are both challenging and accessible. I manage behavior through structured approaches and foster collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues to enhance learning outcomes and well-being.
My Proudest Achievements
I am proud to have achieved an Outstanding QTS award and successfully led the implementation and assessment of the BTEC Applied Science curriculum. I have trained colleagues to maintain consistency in teaching and learning and played a key role in supporting students with SEND and SEMH through pastoral care and tailored interventions. My dedication to tracking progress and applying research-based strategies has consistently contributed to students’ academic and personal development.
