I am Kunal Guruprasad Gowda, pursuing a degree in International Business at the University of Edinburgh. My areas of interest in studies include financial markets, international business, and strategic business development in order to gain a profound understanding of the complex forces that dictate business operations in a global setup.
I am interested in financial markets to explore the dynamic interactions between macroeconomic variables, investment strategies, and company decision processes. I am keen to explore volatility in the marketplace, financial tools, and new economic patterns to gain a better understanding of global finance.
Along with my studies, I am keen to be proactively involved in business strategy, entrepreneurship, and economic policy, as this would help me gain a holistic view of business practices in a global setup.
My teaching style
My pedagogical style in Accountancy and Business Studies is one of interactivity, practicality, and fundamental concepts. I focus on applications in real-life situations, case studies, and problem-solving approaches to build in-depth understanding.
I aim to simplify complex subjects using explanatory examples, graphical representations, and sequential explanations, coupled with encouraging critical reasoning and discussions. I adapt my instruction to meet various learning needs, hence making interactive and student-centered learning.
As a tutor of accountancy, I emphasize clarity of financial concepts, calculations, and their interpretations. In business studies, I highlight the need to know market tendencies, strategic decisions, and case analyses. I aim to develop students’ strong analytical skills and confidence in these areas.
My Proudest Achievements
One of my key achievements is my appointment as a School Prefect, which allowed me to hone my leadership and communication skills. Moreover, my position in the top 1% in Accountancy and Business Studies indicates my proficiency in studies. Also, my position of heading the Finance Department of the TEDx Committee included managing financial budgeting and planning, hence strengthening my strategic and analytical skills. Overall, these achievements indicate my hard work in leadership, finance, and business studies areas.
