About Me
Hello!
I’m Lily- fourth year medical student at Southampton University, and a keen musician.
With regards to my academics
I received a high UCAT score (2980), alongside 3 medical interviews and 2 medicine offers. I received top A level grades and an A* in my EPQ, alongside 9 Grade 9’s at GCSE level.
I have experience tutoring students to fulfil their potential, having tutored two family friends into medical school, all the way from UCAT preparation to Interview practice. As a University Ambassador, I am used to assisting and motivating students to plan for their future with a dynamic and empathetic approach.
Aside from this, I am a keen musician playing three instruments and dabbling in many more, and enjoy swimming and walking.
I would love to support you in your academic journey, and would use my enthusiasm, passion and experience to help you achieve your goals.
Thank you for reading.
My teaching style
My teaching style can be tailored to your individual needs. A few potential options could include:
For those with a visual learning style, I have made board games such as ‘Snakes and Ladders’ and ‘Monopoly’ containing GCSE and A level content.
For those who enjoy structure, I have crafted spreadsheets and Gantt Charts to successfully support individuals on their A level and medical application journey.
For those on the go, I am experienced at creating audio revision ‘bites’, a strategy that helped me achieve 98% in my A level Language, and 88% in A level Sciences.
My past experience
1. Successfully assisted two family friends in their journey to medicine.
3. Tutored GCSE students as a sixth form student, helping with English, Maths and science
4. Worked for four years as a student ambassador, assisting students in planning for their futures.
My Proudest Achievements
Achieving three Grade 8 in my musical examinations (Two with distinction) is one of my proudest achievement’s, requiring dedication and an eye for detail.
Achieving a high mark in A level German (98.5%)
Achieving 59/60 for my EPQ project
