Hello, I’m Neelakshi, a second-year Economics student at the University of Cambridge with a strong passion for teaching and academic mentorship. I have extensive experience in tutoring GCSE subjects as well as providing personalised UCAS preparation services, specifically designed to help students target and gain admission to their desired universities. My approach is tailored to the unique needs of each student, ensuring they achieve their academic goals effectively.
My academic record is a testament to my dedication and expertise. I achieved AAA*A at A-level in Economics, Maths, English Literature, and Further Maths, including 100% score in one of my English Literature papers. I am happy to tutor these subjects at both, A-level and GCSE standards.
Additionally, having attended the Henrietta Barnett School, I am well-versed in the highly competitive 11+ and 13+ entrance exam process. I am eager to help younger students prepare for these exams, equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to excel.
My teaching style
My teaching style is student-centered, and results-driven, designed to meet the unique needs of each learner. I believe in creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes, and actively engage in the learning process. To ensure understanding, I break down complex concepts into manageable parts and use real-world examples to make the material relatable and easier to grasp.
I tailor my lessons to each student’s learning style, whether they prefer visual aids, practical problem-solving, or discussion-based learning. By identifying their strengths and areas for improvement early on, I can focus on building a strong foundation and gradually addressing any gaps in knowledge.
My goal as a tutor is not just to improve grades, but to foster a love for learning and empower students to reach their full potential.
