About Me
Hi, I’m Sim, a first-year medic at King’s College London and long time tutor. I received 4/4 offers and sailed through the medical application process—now, I’m passionate about helping others do the same. I know how difficult it can be and want to give as much guidance and support as I can to make it an enjoyable process filled with dedication, confidence and aspirations. I love forming a strong bond with all my students, tailoring my advice and teaching to each individual. I am loving medicine so far and I am so excited for the future, and I want my peers and students to feel the same. I have a love for all things music, science and anything that allows me to learn more and grow and I want to share all of this passion with others and help them achieve the grades, scores and skills they need for this journey.
My teaching style
I specialise in UCAT, interviews, personal statements and science tutoring (biology, chemistry), and I tailor every session to the student. My teaching style is friendly, supportive, and engaging—I break down complex topics in a way that clicks and make sessions enjoyable while building confidence. Most importantly, I aim to spark a real interest in these challenging subjects and make the journey to medicine feel less overwhelming.
My past experience
I have experience tutoring chemistry, physics, biology and UCAT prep. The first three I have been tutoring in for the last 2-3 years and medicine entry tutoring has only been a recent thing- of the past one year.
My Proudest Achievements
I am proudest of how much I have grown throughout these few years. Through this gruelling process and through all the exam seasons, through moving to a new city and being in new surroundings, I have come in leaps and bounds.
