About Me
My name is Sukraj Dhinsa and I am a first-year dental student at the University of Birmingham. I have had experience with tutoring before and I am looking forward to passing on knowledge that will benefit you in your application. I understand how lengthy and hard the process can be, however, the benefits reaped at the end will forever stay with you.
Alongside academics, it is important to stay connected with your hobbies as they help to release any stress- and they can be used in your personal statement!
My top tip for the whole process would be to be yourself. Universities are looking for students who are able to think on the spot, express their personalities and build relationships with their peers, tutors and in the future their patients. They prefer for you to be yourself and make a few mistakes, rather than be robotic and regurgitate information.
I am looking forward to helping you on your way to be a dentist and I wish you all the best!
My teaching style
When teaching I like to be interactive so that I can part as much experience and knowledge to you as possible. I like to first go over the information or scenario together at first and once the student is comfortable and understands the task, then I allow them to attempt it themselves whilst I review their attempt and provide feedback.
My past experience
Yes, I have tutored previously.
