Marleine
About Me
Hello,
My name is Marleine. I am a certified TEFL teacher.
I have a different range of experiences and skills from different work sectors, however for over 5 years now I have enjoyed being part of my students learning progress, wellbeing, self fulfillment, confidence and independence in class and socially. I understand and have the skills and experience in supporting young people achieve the best they can at their own pace, limiting being overwhelmed and under pressure.
As well as working with young people within the Autistic spectrum in class everyday, I have certified training in Attention Autism, Mental Health & Needs of Autistic Teenagers, Prevent Duty, Equality & Diversity. I am passionate for enhancing my students abilities, patient, kind and empathetic. I also believe in finding ways to make learning fun and light, encouraging students to always look forward to the next lesson.
My teaching style
I consider myself to be a facilitator and demonstrator style of teacher, as I believe in hands on learning activities and visual aids with a student centred approach. Igniting creativity, challenging self and finding each individual learning style.
My past experience
As well as having my own children to teach, I assist in teaching young people within educational settings, mainly schools, as well as from time to time covering lessons on behalf of the teacher.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement is everything I have learned about SEN, especially the Autistic spectrum enlightened me to a whole new way of thinking. As well as certifying in Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
