Hello, I’m a dedicated and experienced GCSE tutor with a strong track record of helping students improve their understanding, boost their confidence, and achieve their target grades. I specialize in one-to-one lessons that are tailored to suit each student’s individual learning style and goals. My approach focuses on simplifying difficult topics, developing strong problem-solving skills, and building effective exam techniques. I’ve worked with students across all ability levels – from those aiming for top grades to those looking to secure a pass – and always adapt my teaching style accordingly. After each session, I provide detailed lesson summaries to track progress and highlight areas for improvement. I’m passionate about helping students succeed, and I believe that with the right support and guidance, every student can reach their full potential in Maths.
My teaching style
My teaching style is student-focused, calm, and adaptable. I break down complex ideas into simple steps, ask guiding questions to encourage thinking, and tailor each lesson to suit how the student learns best. I prioritise clarity, patience, and structure, ensuring students not only understand the material but feel confident applying it. I also give constant feedback and adjust my approach based on progress, helping students stay motivated and on track.
My past experience
I have several years of experience tutoring GCSE Maths to students of all ability levels. I’ve delivered hundreds of one-to-one lessons, helping students improve their understanding, build confidence, and achieve their target grades. My experience includes working with students preparing for higher and foundation tiers, as well as those aiming for top grades or simply trying to pass. I’ve developed a structured approach to tutoring that includes tailored lesson planning, regular progress tracking, and effective exam preparation.
My Proudest Achievements
One of my proudest achievements is helping multiple students move from failing grades to passes and even grades 7s, 8s, and 9s. Watching their confidence grow over time and seeing their hard work pay off has been incredibly rewarding. I’m also proud of the strong relationships I’ve built with both students and parents through consistent results, clear communication, and genuine care for each student’s success.
