About Me

Hello!
I’m Fran. I moved from Romania to Wales in 2020 to start my Applied Medical Sciences degree at Swansea University. I have since graduated and I’m starting my Medicine degree at the University of St Andrews.
I have previously volunteered for the Romanian Red Cross, and for the NHS in a busy A&E department. I also have previous work experience as a Community Support Worker and Healthcare Assistant in an NHS hospital. These experiences gave me a deep appreciation for what goes on in healthcare and what patients feel, but also for the things that we can do to ease the stress they will be going through.
My early-developed passion for human anatomy, biology and pathology, combined with these experiences, inspired me to improve myself further, apply to medicine, and hopefully, I can share some of the knowledge I gained along the way with you as well 🙂

My teaching style

I like getting to know the people I am teaching, so that I can adapt my style to their understanding and preferences. I use examples and draw from personal experience. I like to offer plenty of opportunities for questions, and also for creativity and adaptability.

My past experience
