I am a community-minded individual with excellent interpersonal skills, committed to improving the lives of vulnerable people, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. My background encompasses diverse roles in healthcare support, education, and security, where I have demonstrated resilience, emotional intelligence, and high integrity. I am trained in safeguarding best practices, conflict de-escalation, and person-centered care, aiming to create safe, supportive environments for learners and service users alike.
My teaching style
My teaching style is adaptive and student-centered, focusing on creating respectful and orderly learning environments tailored to the unique needs of each pupil, including those with SEND and SEMH challenges. I employ varied instructional methodologies, incorporating real-world examples and nurturing emotional support to facilitate understanding and personal growth. I emphasize positive behavior management and proactive engagement, ensuring that vulnerable students receive the assistance and encouragement necessary for their success.
My Proudest Achievements
I am proud to have contributed to a high student pass rate of 89% through effective lesson facilitation and student-focused learning approaches at the Uma Ukpai School of Business & Theology. Additionally, I have successfully established and managed school-based agricultural projects that enhanced community engagement and leadership skills. My leadership roles within educational and student organizations, such as serving as President of the Nigerian Red Cross Society and Department of Agriculture, reflect my dedication to fostering supportive communities and advancing educational outcomes for all students.
