About Me
Hello! My name is Emily.
I am a doctor currently working in the NHS, looking to also tutor.
I graduated from Barts and The London (Queen Mary University of London) in 2022. I also have a BSc in Global Public Health. I completed the International Baccalaureate in 2016 achieving 44 points out of 45 (7,7,7 in Higher Level Chemistry, Biology and Psychology and 7,7,7 in Standard Level German, Maths and English). I have 10 A*s at GCSE/IGCSE.
I am open to tutoring all ages dependent on subject, either orientated towards an exam or to support general learning. This includes 11+ (English, Maths, Verbal and Non-Verbal reasoning), GCSE (maths, english, biology), and A level/IB Biology. I am also happy to tutor medical students looking for some extra support, or support 6th form students with interview preparation.
My teaching style
I teach in a way that is interactive and always open to questions! I will generally be led by what you are struggling with the most, and I am keen to know what you find the most helpful. Everyone learns differently and we can adapt around your learning styles.
I am patient and approachable – there are no silly questions and I always will want to know if you don’t understand.
My Proudest Achievements
I am proud of getting into and completing medical school, learning musical instruments, learning to crochet, and training my dog 🙂
