About Me

Hello, my name is Hibbah! I am a final year medical student at Imperial College London.
I have over 4 years of experience in helping students with admissions. This includes being a mock interviewer in over 10 Multiple Mini Interview Circuits (MMis). I also have many years of experience in giving focused feedback on personal statements for students that aim to attend a variety universities, not just Imperial. With my own personal statement receiving 4/4 interviews, I was also able to then get offers from Imperial and Cardiff.
As a first generation medic and student in my family, I aim to make education and the admissions process easier. Hence I am dedicated to giving useful advice that will make your application stand out! Tutoring a small group of younger years in medical school for their clinical exams enables me to give back to the student community.

My teaching style

My teaching style accelerates the use of visual aids, examples and anecdotes to maximise understanding and retention from students. Similar to how a good ringtone stays stuck in your head, I am known for making and using mnemonics that just stick. I aim to keep my teaching structured, set expectations of what the lesson will entail from the get go and ensure that I am continuously improving and gaining feedback from my students as there is no one-size fits all teaching style for every student.

My past experience

I have experience tutoring people aged 11-18 and have recently taken a Clinical Educator course at university. I also have held online tutorials for over 20 people in medical school as well as regularly teaching the years below me to help prepare for their clinical assessments at the end of the year.

My Proudest Achievements

My proudest achievements include completing a Bachelor’s of science degree despite being intimidated by medical research. Another is going on a challenging trek or hike at least once a year in medical school to overcome my fear of heights.
