Hello, my name is Nipuni currently a second year medical student at University of Leeds. I am really excited to help you with your medical school application! Having gone through the process myself, I know how long and daunting the process can be. With the correct advice and knowledge I can provide, hopefully it will become a smooth application, of which I will be with you every step of the way. I am caring, dedicated and will go above and beyond to help you achieve your hopes and dreams! Furthermore I am extremely friendly and approachable, and will always be there to assist with anything along the way.
It is also so important to keep up morale and happiness throughout the process. I will be there not only to provide knowledge and information but to help deal with stress and provide motivation. It will be a pleasure to take this journey with you!
My teaching style
I will always first set out the expectations, to understand each students individual needs, so I can adapt the lesson based on their abilities to ensure an effective use of time. I use a lot of interactive teaching techniques to ensure engagement throughout, which helps with retaining knowledge. I also focus on answering practice questions, which is vital to ensure an excellent result. Furthermore I am very down to earth and informal in my teaching style, so students are comfortable to confide in me and really build a friendly relationship.
My past experience
I have previously worked with children ranging from ages 4-18 teaching Maths and English at a Kumon centre. In addition I take part in teaching medical education days at secondary schools around the country.
