My teaching style

Julia enjoys tutoring to support the growth of students, help them gain confidence and enjoyment in their studies. Julia believes that tutoring differs from school education which seeks to delivers a set curriculum irrespective of the student. Julia tailors each lesson to each individual student in response to their specific strengths, interest and learning styles.

My past experience

Julia has 7 years of experience in tutoring since 2018 having tutored in person at a tuition centre, and on multiple online tuition platforms in a range of subject from KS1 to KS4. She has worked as an indepedent tutor and part of a team to train other tutors in her department as Head of department as lower secondary English

My Proudest Achievements

Julia’s proudest achievement as a tutor is receiving feedback from students that they have grown to love a subject that they previously disliked. They came to understand the context of what they were learning and understood how different processes linked together to make the final product and it felt like it made sense. Knowing that her tutoring has a positive impact is very rewardining for Julia.
