Patrisiya

Hi, I’m Patrisiya, a final-year BSc Psychology student at Brunel University London, currently on track for a First-Class degree. I have also received an offer to study at the University of Oxford at postgraduate level, where I will be continuing my academic journey. My academic strengths are especially quantitative, with strong experience in psychology, research methods, statistics, data analysis, academic writing, and large research datasets.
I tutor GCSE, A-Level, psychology, research methods/statistics, academic writing, Arabic, and Bulgarian. For GCSE students, I can provide broad academic support across subjects, including exam preparation, revision planning, essay writing, study skills, and confidence-building. At A-Level, I particularly support psychology, Arabic, Bulgarian, research methods, essay structure, exam technique, and academic writing.
I am also a native Arabic and Bulgarian speaker, so I can support students with speaking, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and confidence in both languages. I work with complete beginners as well as students who already have some knowledge and want to improve their fluency or accuracy.
I also have experience supporting children with special educational needs in both mainstream and specialist school settings. I have worked as a Learning Support Assistant and as a Trainee ABA Tutor, supporting students with different learning styles, communication needs, and confidence levels. This has shaped the way I teach: I am patient, encouraging, and able to break tasks down into clear, manageable steps.
Alongside my degree, I have worked on real research projects involving children, schools, mental health, loneliness, and large datasets. This has strengthened my ability to explain complex ideas clearly and help students understand not only what to write, but how to think critically and structure their answers well.
My aim as a tutor is to create a calm, supportive, and organised space where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Whether a student needs help improving grades, preparing for exams, understanding psychology, learning statistics, or developing Arabic or Bulgarian language skills, I tailor my support to their level, goals, and confidence.
