I’m a Mathematics student at the University of Oxford (starting 2025), and I recently scored in the 98th percentile on the MAT. Having just completed a successful Oxbridge application, I offer tailored tutoring to help you achieve the same — whether you’re aiming for Oxford Maths, Computer Science, or a top grade at A-Level or GCSE.
📘 Oxbridge Admissions
MAT Tutoring
I sat the new MAT (for 2025 entry), which was a major format change from previous years. My cohort was the only one to take this new version, giving me unique insight into the paper’s updated structure and question style. Leveraging this, I can help you prepare effectively to score 90%+, just as I did.
Mock Interviews
I offer realistic Oxford-style mock interviews, structured around the three actual interviews I had during my application process. I’ll help you build mathematical intuition, communicate clearly, and develop the confidence to think aloud — all crucial skills for Oxbridge success. I have already delivered multiple mock interviews this season, so deeply understand my custom, oxbridge style question sets and the traps students fall into while solving these questions.
TMUA Tutoring
I also offer tutoring for the TMUA, focusing on working effectively under time pressure.
📚 A-Level Tutoring (Maths, Further Maths, Physics)
I achieved A*A*A* in Maths (99% UMS), Further Maths (98% UMS), and Physics (81% UMS), and I’ve developed a deep understanding that I’ll pass on to you. I tutor with an emphasis on conceptual clarity, which stretches high-achieving students beyond the A* boundary.

📗 GCSE Tutoring (Maths, Further Maths, Physics)
I also tutor GCSE students, with a particular focus on those targeting Grade 9.
Although I’m early in my professional tutoring journey, I’ve gained invaluable experience mentoring a group of the most gifted 14–16-year-olds at my state school in preparation for Maths Olympiads. Under my guidance:
• One student earned a medal in a national-level competition
• Another was invited to a prestigious UKMT summer school
This experience has sharpened my ability to teach advanced problem-solving skills to high-achieving students — and confirmed how much I enjoy helping others succeed in mathematics.
My teaching style
My teaching style prioritises deep understanding over memorisation. I focus on helping students see the “why” behind each idea so they can apply concepts flexibly, not just repeat methods. Lessons are interactive and student-led — I ask guiding questions to develop intuition and independent reasoning. When introducing new topics, I break them down into clear, logical steps, showing connections between ideas to build lasting understanding. I deliberately use challenging examples as a form of overtraining, which forms the deep understanding needed for A*s and Oxbridge admission. Ultimately, my aim is to make maths feel intuitive, logical, and genuinely rewarding to learn, while covering the insider tricks set by examiners to separate the great students from the best.
My past experience
I delivered group lessons to five students on Olympiad style mathematics. Of these students one achieved a medal (Top 100 nationally), and another recieved an invite to a national training camp, which was an unprecendented result for the school.
Additionally, I am an active online tutor, having delivered multiple mock interviews with more scheduled in the near future. I was recently hired by an Edtech startup to teach all of their A-Level Maths cohort.
I am also a high level climber and have worked as a qualified instructor and coach for a number of years. This has given me experience running class with groups of sizes 1-8 over a breadth of abilities.
My Proudest Achievements
Seeing my students progress has always been one of my proudest achievements — particularly two Olympiad students who went on to achieve results at a national level. Beyond teaching, I’m proud of my own academic journey: I worked extremely hard for the Oxford MAT, and it was gratifying to see that calculated effort rewarded.
