21About Me
Hello! I’m Elizabeth, a University of Cambridge graduate (June 2023) with a 1st class degree in Education, English, Drama and the Arts from Homerton College. My degree was very broad in scope, covering areas from Education Policy and International development, to Literature and Poetics studies, Sociology, Philosophy and Drama and Theatre History.
I also achieved A*s in English Literature and Drama and Theatre studies at A-Level, and an A in History.
I have a TEFL qualification, and experience teaching English and volunteering in classrooms (in the UK and in Thailand) as well as on a one-to-one basis.
I can also help with University applications and interview preparations, particularly for Humanities degrees at Oxbridge .
It would be my pleasure to help you with any of the above areas, or I also offer general confidence building and public speaking sessions, having achieved distinctions in both Grade 8 LAMDA Acting and Public speaking.
My teaching style
I am friendly and like to motivate students in whatever area I am teaching in. I will follow the students lead when it comes to pace and content, and tailor each session to the students individual needs and desires.
My past experience
I tutored in English and History on a one-to-one basis during sixth form, and volunteered at the Cambridge Steiner school during my undergraduate degree. I also spent a month teaching English at a primary school in Thailand.
My Proudest Achievements
Being Events Director for the University of Cambridge Women in Business group whilst studying for my final exams and achieving a 1st class degree.
