About Me
Hi! I’m a third-year Engineering student at the University of Cambridge, with a strong academic background in Maths and Science. I completed my A-Levels at Sutton Grammar School, achieving four A*s in Further Maths, Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. I’ve always been passionate about helping others understand complex topics in a clear and approachable way. Over the years, I’ve shared my experiences in engineering with school groups and supported students through admissions tests and interviews. I especially enjoy helping students grow in confidence and develop their STEM skills. I offer real insight into the Oxbridge admissions process, whether it’s interview preparation or test strategies, and focus on encouraging curiosity while helping students reach their full academic potential in school exams. Whether you are looking to move up a grade in your GCSEs or A Levels, or want a competitive advantage in your engineering applications, my sessions are tailored to your learning style, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.
My teaching style
My teaching style mirrors the Oxbridge supervision system: highly interactive, discussion-based, and focused on working through challenging questions together. I aim to guide students toward their own understanding by asking probing questions, encouraging independent thought, and helping them develop strong problem-solving skills. Rather than simply providing answers, I support students in building the confidence and techniques needed to tackle unfamiliar problems on their own. Sessions are tailored to the student’s pace and learning style, with the ultimate goal of helping the student, in their own way, understand the concepts that underpin the content of the exam.
My past experience
I have tutored GCSE maths and also provided tailored Oxbridge admissions advice to multiple students, including mock interviews for engineering. I have also delivered engineering taster sessions to GCSE and A Level students.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement to date has been getting into Cambridge to study engineering. It has opened many doors for me, opening up opportunities to work on exciting projects such as making a hydrogen powered racing boat. The journey and preparation was hard, but it was definitely worth it.
