Harshini
About Me
Hi, I’m Harshini, a second-year medical student at Imperial College London. I achieved A*A*A in A Level Chemistry, Biology, and German, and I’m passionate about helping my students achieve top grades!
Having recently gone through the medical school application process myself, I’m in a strong position to support my students through every stage – from mastering A-Level content to refining personal statements and preparing for interviews. My tips and strategies secured my grades, and I’ve seen my students succeed with them too.
I love teaching because it allows me to connect with students and understand their goals and learning styles so I can guide them step-by-step. All of my past students have achieved their desired A* prediction in A-Level Chemistry, and I aim to provide the same level of personalised support in every lesson.
GCSEs and A Levels can be challenging, but with the right guidance, they don’t have to be overwhelming. My goal is to make the journey smoother for you, giving you the confidence and strategies to achieve the grades and university offers you’re aiming for.
My teaching style
I take a personalised approach to teaching because I recognise that every student has a unique learning style! I work closely with my students to find out what methods best suit them – whether that’s learning through visual aids, detailed explanations, or active practice. From my experience, I have found that a solid understanding of the content is the foundation for success in any subject. This is why I focus on building deep comprehension first, which makes applying knowledge to exam questions or interview scenarios much easier. Ultimately, my goal is to guide my students towards achieving their academic goals with confidence.
My Proudest Achievements
I am very proud of the academic profile I have built of the years, alongside my extracurricular interests. One of my proudest achievements was completing my Grade 8 Violin while also achieving all 9s in my GCSEs. I was honoured to receive the highest mark in the country for GCSE Business, as well as the top mark in my year for GCSE Chemistry. These achievements are reflective of my commitment to balancing my academics with my personal interests, as well as the determination I show in everything I do.
