Hello! My name is Mia, and I am a second-year undergraduate at the University of Cambridge.
I offer tuition for University Applications, including personal statements and interview technique. Having successfully navigated the highly competitive admissions process at Cambridge, I understand the challenges it presents. I provide clear and practical guidance which enables students to approach the process with confidence.
I can also offer subject-specific tutoring at a variety of levels. At A-level, I can offer tutoring in Psychology, Economics and Religious Studies. At GCSE I can offer tutoring in Maths, English, Sciences, Psychology and Religious Studies.
My tutoring is personalised and flexible, with each session adapted to individual needs. Whether you are aiming for top grades, preparing for Oxbridge, or simply looking to strengthen subject knowledge, I will help you achieve your goals.
My teaching style
My teaching style is personalised, supportive, and results-driven. I firmly believe that every student learns differently, and I adapt my sessions to suit the individual’s needs, abilities, and goals. This flexible approach ensures that students feel comfortable, engaged, and motivated throughout the learning process.
I focus on creating a clear and structured learning environment, breaking down complex concepts into manageable parts and explaining them in a way that is easy to understand. I encourage students to ask questions and think critically, helping them to not only master the material but also develop confidence in their own abilities.
Alongside subject knowledge, I place a strong emphasis on exam technique and academic skills. I provide practical strategies for revision, essay writing, and approaching different types of questions, which are invaluable for achieving top grades. When supporting with University applications, I also offer constructive and honest feedback on personal statements and interview practice, helping students to present themselves effectively and with confidence.
My past experience
I have experience tutoring at a variety of levels. I have helped students prepare for UCAS Applications by assisting with personal statements and also helping with interview preparation.
I also have experience with subject-specific tutoring. I have tutored students at a variety of levels, including Psychology, Economics and Religious Studies at A-Level. At GCSE I have tutored in Maths, English, Sciences, Psychology and Religious Studies.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievements include: being a Lieutenant Governor’s Cadet, coming in first place in a debate chaired by the Bailiff of Guernsey, hosting and organising environmental events which connected young people with CEOs and politicians and being offered a place to study at The University of Cambridge.
