About Me
Hey, my name is Charles and I would love to be your tutor! I am currently on my Gap Year before starting my Mechanical Engineering (BSc) degree at the University of Bristol. In this time, I am pursuing my passions of Art and Drama, alongside some volunteering work, and of course… tutoring!
In my final year at school, I was appointed Senior Prefect and I enjoy working with and supporting other people. Throughout my A Levels, I realised that having an enthusiastic curiosity about your subjects is the best way propel your learning.
Both A Levels and GCSEs are tough, but with dedication and practice, you are guaranteed to get the great grades that you deserve! Having achieved high marks for A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, I am passionate to help others enjoy and excel in the subject. Maths can be fun, I promise!
My teaching style
It is always important to ask the question ‘Why?’. Mathematics is all about having a strong foundation of understanding and enforcing it with practice. Often, all you need is for something to be explained in a different way to have that eureka moment. I am here to be a supportive explainer and there are no such things as silly questions!
My Proudest Achievements
Having achieved all As and above at A Level, I am proud to have secured a place at the University of Bristol. With 12 Grade 9s at GCSE, I was in the Top 16 in the UK for the 2021 cohort. At school, I was both an Art and Drama Scholar, alongside successfully supporting and managing a Prefect Team as Head Boy in my final year.
