About Me
Hello everyone! My name is Sienna, third year vet student at the University of Edinburgh.
I am an experienced tutor for vet personal statements and interviews for more than two years now, and all of my students have achieved offers for their first choice universities. Personally, I received all 5 of my offers- Edinburgh, Cambridge, RVC, Bristol. I also achieved A*AA for my A Levels.
The vet school application and process looks quite daunting now, but I can assure you we will be prepared and in the best possible situation throughout the process! I have a lot of saved up resources, notes and question banks to get you ready for the MMI and panel style interviews. I will also offer all the top tips for interviews and topics to pre-read!
Thank you and look forward to seeing you soon.
Best wishes,
Sienna
My teaching style
My teaching style focuses on helping each student as a separate individual, as I believe everyone learns differently and at their own pace. I am also very friendly and hope to develop a positive relationship with my student so they’re completely comfortable asking me questions they might have, as no question is a silly question!
I think the key to success is having the confidence to discuss problems and think aloud. I will aim to achieve with my students and help develop these, as they are important skills for the future as well.
My past experience
Besides my two years experience helping students with personal statements and vet school interviews, I tutor GCSE Biology and Chemistry, and have also worked at a special needs local primary school teaching one of the students beginner piano.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement would be getting all my 5/5 offers for studying Veterinary Medicine at university, and achieving A*AA at A Levels. I worked hard for it and it has definitely paid off! I am very keen on helping others achieve the same.
I was also Head Girl at my school and I really enjoyed that as well.
