Kiara
About Me
Hi, I am Kiara, a third year medic at the University of Buckingham. My goal as a tutor on study mind is to make sure you are confident in what you are doing, whether that means being ready for an interview, or an exam or anything in between. I am willing to help you in any way I can to ensure you are ready for any obstacle that is thrown your way.
I am postgraduate with a BSc in Sports and nutrition and I am currently in my second year of medicine. I have myself experienced multiple interviews for medical school and I have also written my personal statement, CV and a scientific dissertation in the field of healthcare, as well as helped others write theirs.
Having tutored recently in med school and in the past I have learnt to adapt my teaching method to make sure it is most suited to each ones needs. I am exited to help in any way I can and make sure you achieve any goal you have set for yourself.
My teaching style
I have cultivated my own specific teaching style over time by teaching myself and my peers. When learning something new, it is important to form concepts so as to gain a broad understanding of a topic.
I believe it is important to make sure that concepts are well understood to begin with.
Once a concept is clear in your head the next step will be to remember the concept with repetition.
Once you are able to remember the concept then it is important to know how to link concepts together, this is the key to answering any question whether in an exam or in an interview.
My past experience
I have tutored several peers through first year of medical school
My Proudest Achievements
I have completed first year of medical school with 100% on all my exams
