About Me

Hi! I’m a recent Oxford graduate with a degree in Experimental Psychology, passionate about helping students reach their full potential. Having navigated the challenges of university applications and academic life myself, I understand the pressures students face and love helping them build confidence in their abilities. I believe every student has unique strengths, and my role is to help them discover and develop these while providing practical guidance on study techniques, time management, and achieving their goals.

From a career perspective, I’ve worked in high-performance environments including strategy consulting and sales, which brings a unique mentoring dimension focused on resilience and achieving results under pressure. Outside of academics, I’m passionate about cooking – I actually worked as a professional chef at Sessions Arts Club in London and have hosted my own supper clubs. I’m always excited to learn about what motivates and inspires my students.

My teaching style

I treat my students as peers and adults, establishing our work together as a true partnership rather than a traditional teacher-student dynamic. This isn’t about me lecturing while they listen – it’s about collaborating to help them uncover their potential and engage with subjects in genuinely interesting ways. I believe learning becomes transformative when students discover the inherent fascination in a topic, not through gimmicky approaches, but by exploring what makes each subject genuinely compelling and relevant to understanding our world.

My approach is collaborative and adaptive – I work with students to identify their learning preferences while maintaining high expectations and mutual respect. I focus on building confidence alongside academic skills, using positive reinforcement and breaking down complex topics into manageable steps. By creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions, I encourage active participation and critical thinking. The goal is always to foster genuine curiosity and help students develop both the knowledge and mindset needed for independent learning and success.

My Proudest Achievements

Academically, I’m proud of earning my degree from Oxford, which required not just intellectual rigor but also resilience and adaptability. Beyond academics, I’ve worked hard to become a well-rounded person with high emotional intelligence through extensive self-reflection and personal growth – qualities that help me connect with and understand my students on a deeper level. Most meaningfully, I completed a half Ironman in memory of my best friend who passed away. This experience taught me about perseverance, honoring those we love, and finding strength in the most challenging moments – lessons I carry into everything I do, including my mentoring work.
