About Me
I am a qualified and passionate educator with over 23 years of experience in primary and tertiary education, primarily in Hong Kong. Throughout my career, I have collaborated with the Education Bureau on various co-projects and demonstrated leadership in managing teams and delivering high-quality education. My commitment to creating a nurturing and supportive learning environment enables me to distinctly support children with Special Educational Needs and Social, Emotional and Mental Health challenges. I am dedicated to continuous professional growth and fostering an atmosphere of respect, cooperation, and good-humoured teamwork.
My teaching style
My teaching style is inclusive and student-centered, focusing heavily on learner support and differentiation to cater to individual needs, especially for those requiring additional social, emotional, and behavioral support. I emphasize positive behaviour support, small group and one-to-one interventions, and fostering motivation and encouragement. I maintain a respectful and supportive classroom atmosphere where all students feel valued and are empowered to reach their potential while ensuring timely and effective communication with colleagues and parents to support each child’s progress holistically.
My Proudest Achievements
One of my proudest achievements was being awarded the Certificate for Outstanding Professional Performance by the Education Bureau in September 2012. Additionally, I led the Maths and General Studies panel as a mentor, overseeing curriculum design and assessment practices, and successfully partnered with the Education Bureau to implement projects that enhanced educational quality. These accomplishments reflect my dedication to excellence and impactful leadership in supporting both students and colleagues within the education sector.
