About Me

Hey! I’m a third-year medical student at James Cook University, originally from Brisbane, Australia. I really enjoy my degree and appreciate the opportunity to study medicine, both for the interesting course material and the practical experiences that let me interact with patients and develop clinical skills. Outside of study, I enjoy staying active through activities such as running, basketball, swimming, and snowboarding, as well as travelling whenever I can. I know applying to medicine can be stressful, so I’m here to help students navigate interviews, study tips, and the journey into medical school. I enjoy supporting others, sharing advice from my experiences, and assisting students to feel confident and prepared. I believe that with the right guidance and mindset, anyone can make the path into medicine much more manageable and even enjoyable.

My teaching style

My teaching style is interactive and structured, focusing on demonstration, guided practice, and independent observation. I first demonstrate the skill, then walk students through it step by step, and finally observe them performing it independently. This method has been shown to be highly effective in building understanding, confidence, and competence.

My past experience

I have over a year of experience tutoring high school subjects since finishing high school, helping students understand material, build confidence, and achieve their academic goals.

My Proudest Achievements

Some of my proudest achievements include being DUX of my high school, earning a distinction in my JCU medical degree, serving as College Captain, receiving the Australian Defence Force Future Innovators Award, reaching Grade 7 in AMEB violin, and finishing a marathon.
