About Me
I am a fourth year Design Engineering student at Imperial College London, with a strong passion for innovation, problem solving and creating solutions that have a positive impact on society and the environment. Alongside my studies, I have gained industry experience through a six-month internship at adidas HQ in Herzogenaurach, Germany.
Having successfully navigated the Imperial College application process myself, I understand how challenging and competitive applying to university can be, particularly when it comes to choosing the right course, preparing a strong personal statement and presenting your experiences effectively during an interview. I am keen to use my own experience to support A-level students through this process, helping them build confidence, identify their strengths and put together applications that reflect their interests and ambitions.
I am particularly excited to help students interested in engineering, design and other STEM subjects, and to share practical advice on preparing for university applications and interview processes.
My teaching style
I use discussion-based teaching to help students identify and present their strengths throughout the application process, particularly in personal statements and interviews. I can review personal statements, run mock interviews and provide in depth, constructive feedback. I also focus on building a strong understanding of mathematics and the fundamental knowledge expected for their chosen course through targeted practice questions.
My Proudest Achievements
I have had several achievements during my time at Imperial that I am particularly proud of. In my second year, I was awarded a DESIRE Award, which is awarded for recognition of a highly innovative idea (https://www.imperial.ac.uk/design-engineering/study/meng/student-prizes/desire-awards/). My group project was an electromechanical device designed to protect pollinators from pests. Additionally, in third year, all design engineering students are required to complete a six month industrial placement, and I am proud to have received three offers for my placement, ultimately choosing to join adidas at their headquarters in Germany.
