About Me

I am a dentist, researcher, and academic tutor with a strong passion for helping students build confidence and achieve academic success. I hold a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree with First Class Honours, a Research MSc in Medical Biochemistry with First Class Honours, and an MSc in Public Health from University College London, where I graduated with Distinction as a Commonwealth Scholar.

Alongside my clinical and research career, I have extensive teaching experience across science and healthcare subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Dentistry, Medicine-related subjects, and Public Health. I have delivered over 50 lectures to healthcare students, supervised clinical placements, and mentored student research projects. I particularly enjoy breaking down complex scientific concepts into simple, easy-to-understand explanations tailored to each student’s learning style.

I have also worked extensively in community health programmes, clinical training, and academic research, which allows me to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world application. My goal is to help students not only improve their grades but also develop critical thinking skills, exam confidence, and long-term understanding of their subjects. I am friendly, patient, and committed to supporting students at different academic levels and abilities.

My teaching style

My teaching style is student-centred, structured, and highly interactive. I focus on identifying each student’s strengths and areas for improvement before tailoring lessons to suit their learning style. I use clear explanations, real-life examples, active recall techniques, and exam-focused practice to build confidence and improve performance. I encourage students to ask questions freely and aim to create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable learning at their own pace while steadily progressing towards their academic goals.

My past experience

Yes, I have extensive teaching and mentoring experience in both academic and clinical environments. I have delivered over 50 lectures and practical teaching sessions in oral pathology, dental sciences, and public health to approximately 300 healthcare students. I have supervised clinical placements and mentored over 30 student research projects and awareness campaigns. I have also provided case-based clinical teaching for healthcare professionals and developed multiple teaching modules linking scientific theory to practical healthcare applications. My teaching experience spans secondary school, university-level science subjects, and professional healthcare training.

My Proudest Achievements

Graduating with Distinction from UCL as a Commonwealth Scholar, achieving First Class Honours in both my Dentistry and Medical Biochemistry degrees, publishing peer-reviewed research, and successfully mentoring and teaching hundreds of healthcare students and trainees.
