Hi there! My name is Pavi and I graduated grade 12 with 95% in chemistry and 93% in biology and was awarded principals commendation for being part of the top 10% students in my cohort.
In addition to my academic career, I have also participated in Model UN, debating, leadership, dance productions and volunteering, gaining experience working with children and teens in a variety of settings. Additionally, I have been tutoring first year university level biology and chemistry courses for a year. I am currently studying Bachelor of Science majoring in Neuroscience at UNSW and have maintained a first class honours grade.
As a recent graduate, I have excellent knowledge and experience in teaching. As a tutor, my primary focus is to help students understand their subjects at a deeper level, by employing strategies specific to the students strengths.
My teaching style
As a tutor, my primary focus is to help students understand their subjects at a deeper level, this includes guidance through:
– Understanding syllabus learning
– Preparing notes to a high standard
– Exam preparation
– Teaching study tips, including essay planning, and
– Prioritisation of quality over quantity during learning.
I design my tutoring sessions to cater to every individual student’s needs. This includes:
📕 ‘Teaching’ lessons – where we go through weekly content in a classroom-like style,
📘 ‘Helping’ lessons – designed to guide students through homework or trickly class topics they may be struggling with, and
📗 ‘Revision’ lessons – based around applying content and learning the right way to structure and approach questions.

My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement are receiving principals commendation for being part of the top 10% students in my cohort and ranking in the top 4 at the Australian National Model UN.
