About Me
I am a human biology student with a passion for the intricacies of the human body, whether it is in high-performance sport, cognition, or epidemiology.
I have as much of an interest in anatomy as I do in healthcare, and have extensive connections in both areas.
I am very academically well-rounded; as well as biology I have a breadth of knowledge in English literature (both classical and contemporary), and an in-depth understanding of music theory, performance, and history.
I am passionate about learning and encouraging a lifelong love of learning; not just the ability to memorise but the ability to understand, apply, and use knowledge to challenge or uphold conventions.
Outside of academia I love to be outdoors; I run (a nationally successful UK ‘fell’ (mountain) runner), swim, cycle, and walk. I love listening to music, live and at home, and play in bands locally.
My teaching style
Friendly, humorous and interactive. I teach the subjects I am interested in, and naturally want to inspire others in the areas that inspire me. I like to be practical where necessary, for example in sport and anatomy studies, and like to encourage independent working where possible as this is an important skill looking to the future.
My past experience
Yes – with target english international summer schools.
My Proudest Achievements
Being a bronze medallist in the British Fell Running championships.
Being awarded an academic scholarship for the best in cohort in 2021/2022.
