Hi! I’m Haru 👋 I’m a PhD student in Clinical Biochemistry at the University of Cambridge, and I’ve always been passionate about science and helping others succeed. Previously, I studied IB in high school, then completed my BSc in Pharmacology at King’s College London.
I’ve been tutoring for about two years now, and I really enjoy making tricky subjects in maths and biology easier to understand. As a postgraduate student in the medical field, I’m also happy to share advice on university applications, essay support, interview preparation, and what it’s like to pursue postgraduate degrees.
My goal is to help you feel confident, supported, and ready to show your full potential. Looking forward to working with you!
Fun facts about me: I’m from Japan and I love exploring delicious food! I’ve played basketball since middle school and these days I’ve been really into tennis😆
My teaching style
My teaching style is simple: we work on understanding the concept first, then practice with questions so you feel confident applying what you’ve learned. I’ll also take the time to get to know your preferred learning method and adjust my approach to match. Most importantly, I try to make lessons feel like a fun study session with a friend, not a boring 1-to-1 lecture!
