Ellie
About Me
Hi! My name is Ellie. I tutor GCSE English Language, GCSE English Literature, GCSE Sociology, and GCSE and A-level Law. I achieved A grades in my GCSEs and went on to earn a Law degree (2.1) at The University of Greenwich. Alongside tutoring, I’ve worked in well-known organisations in the Compliance field, where strong writing and analytical skills are essential. My lessons are friendly, engaging, and tailored to each student, with a focus on exam success and building confidence. My passion for tutoring started early-at 18 years old I worked for Kumon, supporting primary school students in English and Maths. I have also taught English internationally through Native Camp, helping learners of all ages and backgrounds improve their skills.
My proudest moments are seeing students grow in confidence, improve their grades, and start to enjoy the subjects they once found difficult. I’m here to help every learner reach their full potential.
My teaching style
My teaching style is supportive, structured, and exam-focused. I break down complex topics into clear steps, use examples to build understanding, and adapt lessons to each student’s learning style. I encourage questions, give constructive feedback, and provide exam strategies that build both knowledge and confidence.
My past experience
I previously tutored at Kumon when I was 18 years old (English and Maths) and more recently with Native Camp, where I teach English to foreign speakers. I focus on breaking down tricky concepts into clear steps, tailoring lessons to individual learning styles, and giving practical exam strategies that build both confidence and results.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievements include achieving A grades in my GCSEs. graduating with a 2.1 Law degree, and working in high-profile organisations. On a personal level, I’m especially proud of overcoming challenges from being born 3 months early, which taught me resilience, determination, and the importance of perseverance-qualities I bring into my tutoring to motivate and support students.
