I am a compassionate and adaptable education and student support professional with extensive experience in academic mentoring and student services, particularly focused on supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. I strive to empower students by tailoring personalized learning plans, offering practical guidance, and fostering a supportive environment where every learner feels valued and motivated to achieve their goals.
My teaching style
My teaching style is highly individualized and empathetic, centered on understanding the unique needs of each student, especially those with SEND and SEMH. I integrate personalized lesson plans and mentoring approaches to enhance confidence, independence, and participation. By fostering open communication and encouraging problem-solving, I actively create a nurturing atmosphere conducive to both academic and personal growth.
My Proudest Achievements
I am proud of my role as a Student Mentor at Nottingham Trent University, where I effectively supported first- and second-year students in overcoming academic and personal challenges. Additionally, I successfully delivered tailored academic tutoring that improved the confidence and engagement of students with SEND. I also earned the British Council UK Agent and Counsellor Certification and received recognition for my safeguarding excellence and commitment to student welfare.
