About Me

Hi, I’m Kaavya. a current medical student at the University of St Andrews. I am an individual enthusiastic about teaching and passing on the knowledge and advice of getting into medical school. I particularly enjoy helping with interview preparation, having received all of my offers following interviews. I like personalising my teaching based on what each students’ needs are.

I have many years of volunteering with St John Ambulance, and was invited to Buckingham Palace with HRH Princess Anne, for being a young achiever, 2022. I was also awarded cadet of the year for Essex in 2022 and was Lord Lieutenant’s Cadet in 2022. As a former head girl, I enjoy working with others and improving student’s work. I am a particularly sporty individual as well. By having a lot of extra-curricular activity, I understand how to write personal statements well, to help bring out the best quality in each applicant.

My teaching style

I like to use a lot of question and answering whilst teaching to have a thorough understanding of what the student understands. There’s an integrated approach with both independent work and working together, I feel that this develops the student’s confidence best.
