Hi, I’m Rhea, an incoming medical student at the University of Edinburgh. Having recently navigated the highly competitive medicine application cycle successfully, I know exactly what it takes to stand out. I specialize in tutoring academic subjects, helping to write compelling personal statements, mastering the UCAT, and acing medical school interviews.
My goal as a tutor is to demystify the admissions process for future medical students. Because I went through this journey so recently, my knowledge of the current UCAT patterns, interview formats (including MMIs), and what top-tier universities look for in a personal statement is fresh and highly relevant. Whether you are struggling with a complex science topic or looking to polish your interview technique, I am dedicated to helping you build the confidence and skills needed to achieve your goals.
My teaching style
My teaching style is highly interactive, student-centered, and adaptive. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all learning. For academic subjects, I focus on active recall and building a strong conceptual foundation rather than rote memorization. When it comes to UCAT and interview prep, I use a diagnostic approach: we identify your specific weak areas, break down complex question types into manageable steps, and practice under realistic, timed conditions to build both speed and confidence.
My past experience
I have experience working as a tutor where I help younger students with maths and english. In this role, I learned how to break down complex concepts into digestible, easy-to-understand lessons, tailoring my explanations to suit different learning paces and methods.

My proudest achievement is securing an offer to study Medicine at the University of Edinburgh.
