About Me
I am a first year BA Criminology Student with a passion for hopefully entering the legal profession post university. I was a straight A student at GCSE and at A level, I achieved ABC after self teaching my A levels due to being out of school for months because of surgery. For this reason, I have been inspired to start tutoring to support students like myself who are struggling in school or have missed school due to personal circumstances.
I believe that learning should be done in a fun, supportive and interactive environment. I have over 300 hours of tutoring experience in KS3 and GCSE level English, KS3 and GCSE Science and I have experience teaching the 13+ and 11+ curriculum also.
I have tutored over 30 students with various SEN and neurodivergent needs, I have made the learning process individual and accessible to them.
My teaching style
My teaching style is fun, interactive and supportive. My lessons take structure through a powerpoint and worksheets/ exam questions that go alongside the teaching. My role as a tutor extends far beyond the lesson. I am happy to provide confidence and reassurance to students that I work with. My aim is to support their own personal learning journey, whatever that may look like!
My past experience
I have tutored for over 300 hours. With students from ages of 8-18. I have tutored over 30 SEN students to help them develop their understanding of English and Science at KS3 and GCSE level.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement is getting into University of Nottingham which is a top 10 for my course, despite my disability and personal circumstances being a barrier to my ability to access traditional education. This is why I am so passionate about making tutoring accessible for all students!
