8About Me
Hi I’m Gunjan, I study at King’s College London. I applied to study Medicine in 2022 which was one of the toughest years for admissions, therefore I have very valuable experiences from the application process that I am happy to share. I achieved 3 A*s in Biology, Chemistry and Maths at A level and 6 9s at GCSEs and obtained interviews from Keele and King’s College London. I understand exactly the position the students, who are applying now, are in and I am eager to pass on my knowledge of exam techniques, effective revision tools and overall how to enjoy working towards your academic goals. I want to be able to show them how to structure their practice and work, beyond tutoring lessons to increase their independence, which will in turn help them be prepared for their upcoming studies at university.
My teaching style
I focus on the students weaknesses within a topic and provide an interactive method of understanding and eventually grasping the concept. I do my best to mix in their strengths to give them the motivation to keep trying to improve the less understood parts. I like to give quizzes and questions every step of the way and allow them to figure out some things independently with little hints before even starting to teach the concept, to lay down a foundation.
My past experience
I have been tutoring young children for a few years now, ages ranging from 4-10 years old. I have also. been teaching singing for 2 years to people of all ages
My Proudest Achievements
Proud to be a volunteer for a queen’s award winning charity for the past 3 years. I am proud of achieving international silver medal in karate in my age and belt range.
