8About Me
I’m Jaymin a recent graduate with a master’s in mathematics from Oxford University. I have several years’ experience in tutoring maths from GCSE level all the way up to university level. I specialise in tutoring MAT and STEP, as well as providing tutorials on how best to prepare for Oxbridge maths interviews.
I have achieved 100% in several maths exams including my GCSEs, A-Levels and also the TMUA. Furthermore, I’ve achieved a few different awards from university for both excellent examination scores as well as excellent research into mathematics.
I also have a YouTube channel called ‘J Pi Maths’ dedicated to sharing challenging maths problems. This exemplifies my enthusiasm for teaching and sharing maths to as many people as possible as well as my ability to explain tricky concepts in an understandable manner.
My teaching style
I generally will use a virtual whiteboard and start a session by introducing the main concepts in the topic of focus. I’ll then work through examples and provide challenging problems based to do with the topic so the student can leave the session feeling confident on that particular topic in maths.
My past experience
Yes, tutoring for 2+ years and I have also created and uploaded over 380 maths videos to YouTube.
My Proudest Achievements
Earning a place to study maths at Oxford University. I had put in countless numbers of hours preparing for both the MAT and the interviews, so finally getting the offer gave me a great feeling of success. Having been there, I know what the students are going through, and equally I know how amazing it feels to get the offer, so I know the best ways to guide them to this path of success themselves.
