24About Me
I am a medical student at the University of Leeds. I have had experience supporting students through the medical admission process including the UCAT, personal statement, and the interview process. I have also tutored GCSE science, history as well as KS3 core subjects. I also have experience supporting SEN students. At each stage of my academic journey, I initially struggled but crafted methods to achieve high GCSEs, A -levels and UCAT score. I understand the frustration of struggling academically and so want to help students achieve their potential and aims.
I applied to a broad mix of medical schools and made some mistakes along the way so believe I am in a good position to help younger students avoid these mistakes. Outside of my studies and tutoring, I continue with a range of hobbies including Violin, Piano and assisting the direction of a musical theatre production.
My teaching style
I have taught in a range of styles before for a wide breadth of student types. I emphasize interactive teaching in that throughout the content-teaching phase I embedded questioning to support students in grasping different concepts.
I also place weight on working through exam questions out loud together in order to hone in on thought processes optimized for success.

My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievements are overcoming challenges to get into medical school and winning a Jack Petchy award.
