Rafee

Hi, I completed my undergraduate and master’s degrees in Physical Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge, graduating in 2024. I am now studying for a DPhil in Physics at the University of Oxford, where my research focuses on superconductivity and quantum materials.

Born into a Bangladeshi family and raised in Saudi Arabia, I grew up surrounded by two cultures and developed a strong appreciation for the opportunities that education can provide. I was fortunate to be encouraged to explore my interests from an early age, which eventually led me towards mathematics and physics. I aim to bring the same sense of curiosity and encouragement to my tutoring.

I have previously helped students prepare for the ESAT and Oxbridge interviews, with successful applicants going on to study Engineering Science at Oxford and Physics at Cambridge. Having experienced the admissions process as an applicant and volunteered in tutorial and interview-style roles, I understand both the academic preparation and confidence required. I have also marked for the British Physics Olympiad and taught undergraduate physics laboratories at Oxford.

Outside physics, I enjoy playing table tennis and running.
