About Me

Hi, my name is Hannah and I’m a recent Psychology graduate with a strong interest in learning, development, and helping students build confidence in their academic abilities. I completed my A-Levels in Biology, Sociology, and Arabic, which gave me a strong foundation in both scientific and social subjects as well as language learning.

Through my studies in psychology, I developed a deeper understanding of how people learn, think, and process information. This helps me support students in ways that suit their individual learning styles rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I understand that subjects can sometimes feel overwhelming, so I focus on breaking down complex ideas into clear and manageable steps.

I’m passionate about creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their abilities. My aim is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them develop effective study habits, critical thinking skills, and independence in their learning.

Outside of academics, I enjoy reading, creative thinking, and exploring topics related to psychology and human behaviour. I am patient, approachable, and genuinely enjoy helping others reach their potential.

My teaching style

My teaching style is patient, supportive, and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and actively engaging with the material. I focus on breaking down complex topics into simple, easy-to-understand explanations and using real-life examples to make learning more relatable.

I also encourage students to think critically rather than just memorising information. By helping students understand the “why” behind a concept, they are more likely to retain the information and apply it confidently in exams and coursework. My goal is to build both academic understanding and long-term confidence in learning.

My past experience

Although I am building my formal tutoring experience, I have spent many years helping younger family members with their studies and schoolwork. Coming from a large family, I have supported my nieces and nephews with homework, exam preparation, and understanding difficult topics across different subjects and age groups.

Through these experiences, I developed strong patience, communication, and explanation skills. I understand how to adapt my approach depending on a student’s age, confidence level, and learning style. My psychology background has also helped me understand how motivation, confidence, and encouragement play an important role in learning success.

My Proudest Achievements

One of my proudest achievements is completing my Psychology degree, where I developed strong research, critical thinking, and analytical skills. During my studies I successfully conducted an independent dissertation research project, which required designing a study, collecting data, and analysing results. I am also proud of completing A-Levels in Biology, Sociology, and Arabic, which strengthened my ability to understand both scientific and social topics. These achievements reflect my dedication, organisation, and ability to manage challenging academic work.
