Emma
About Me
Hello,
My name is Emma, and I am a medical student at Newcastle University studying the university’s four-year accelerated course for graduates.
My career path has not been conventional. After completing my A-levels, I took a seven-year hiatus from education due to illness. I subsequently trained as a nurse and am now pursuing a career as a doctor. This unconventional path has provided me with a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the NHS, the patient’s experiences, and a medical professional’s responsibilities. I am eager to share this knowledge and assist others in achieving their medical goals.
The application process for medicine is complex, but I want to support you, with your specific needs, through the UCAT and interview process to present the strongest application which also reflects who you are.
My teaching style
I tailor my teaching approach to meet the unique needs of each student. First, I like to engage in a comprehensive discussion to establish clear expectations for the tutoring sessions. After that, I like to review questions from various categories to identify your strengths and areas for improvement. In my opinion, the strongest test result consistently demonstrates high scores across all categories while leveraging your innate talent in specific subjects to truly excel.
My past experience
I hold a qualification “Supporting Students in Practice” from the University of the West of England, which allows me to supervise students in their practice placements for healthcare degrees.
I have been a volunteer with the Great Western Air Ambulance since 2022, travelling around secondary schools and teaching Basic Life Support and CPR.
My Proudest Achievements
