About Me

Hello! My name is Neema, and I am currently studying Medicine at Imperial College London. Having recently completed my own GCSEs, A Levels and the competitive medical school application process, I understand first-hand the challenges that students face and the strategies that genuinely make a difference.

I believe that every student has the potential to succeed when they are taught in a way that suits their individual learning style. My aim is not only to improve grades but also to help students develop confidence, resilience and a deeper understanding of the subject. I create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building their knowledge step by step.

Rather than relying on memorisation alone, I focus on helping students understand key concepts, apply their knowledge to exam-style questions and develop effective revision techniques that they can use independently. I tailor every lesson to the student’s strengths, areas for improvement and academic goals, ensuring that each session is engaging, productive and personalised.

As someone who has recently achieved the grades required to study medicine, I can also share practical advice on organisation, time management and exam preparation. I understand the pressures that come with GCSEs and admissions tests, and I strive to make lessons both motivating and enjoyable.

Whether your goal is to build confidence, improve predicted grades or achieve top exam results, I am committed to helping every student reach their full potential. I look forward to supporting you throughout your learning journey!

My teaching style

My teaching style focuses on understanding.

I find a lot of times students learn rules and patterns without actually knowing why they are doing what they have been taught. For me this is the most important part of my teaching and I strive to work at the best pace for the student, tailoring sessions to their specific needs. Rather than me talking to my student non-stop, we will work together, with constant check-ups and recaps, to ensure there are no gaps in understanding.

I believe in thorough, full-proof teaching, where both the student and I are completely confident in the topic they need help on.

My past experience

I have tutored GCSE maths and science for a year and a half privately students – where students improved by 2+ grades after working with me
I have also tutored primary school children on basics such as times tables, phonics, reading, spelling, comprehension etc.
