15About Me
Hi, my name is Ken and I am a 2nd year medical student at Hull York Medical School (HYMS). I had interviews at Cardiff, HYMS and Newcastle, and received an offer from HYMS. I have experiences tutoring students for various subjects, including Maths and Chemistry, for almost two years. Moreover, I tutored a student to help them preparing for their interview at HYMS.
For interview preparations, I would give students questions to answer and give them detailed feedback on what went well and what needs to be improved so that they can improve on their interview techniques and answers. Also, I can also give some useful tips regarding interviews at the medical schools that I had interviews at.
For UCAT, I can help students with exam techniques, and give some tips and tricks for tackling the UCAT.
My teaching style
I usually ask my students which area they want to focus on before the lesson, and give them lots of practice during the lesson so that they can consolidate their knowledge. For interview preparations, I would also do a mock interview close to the actual interview with the student to give them a feel of how the interview will run.
My past experience
I tutored over 5 students and have been tutoring since 2023.
My Proudest Achievements
I helped a year 8 student that I tutored to improve their maths test scores from 60% to 80%.
