About Me
Dr Pegin Poulose is an expert tutor in his field and he possesses qualities that set him apart whilst employing a personalised teaching style that goes beyond conventional methods. He engages his students in thought-provoking discussions, encouraging them to ask questions and explore beyond the syllabus. One particular teaching experience stands out vividly, a heartening journey of helping a struggling student elevate their academic performance from a C grade to a remarkable A grade. Apart from teaching STEM subjects, Pegin is also a medical doctor and a successful medical school entrance exam tutor and interviewer. He has been running a medical school and dental school admissions consultancy service and has helped 100’s of students into Russell Group and Oxbridge universities. He has always believed in the potential of every student, regardless of their initial struggles. Furthermore, Pegin is fond of medical education and writing research for journal publication, performing audits and freelance medical articles.
My teaching style
My teaching method involves explaining the main concepts in a topic and then tackling exam questions relating to the topic. I believe subject knowledge is equally as important as exam technique so we can tackle both of these together in order to boost your exam grades.
My past experience
I have 6 of experience tutoring mainly at GCSE and A level. During this time I have also carried out specific entry to medicine tutoring.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement would be getting a research paper published in a national teaching journal for antibiotic safety.
