About Me
I am a dedicated medical student currently in my junior year at The University of Manchester, with a strong passion for education and supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Through my experience as a medical student intern and entrepreneur in tutoring and admissions guidance, I have developed a compassionate, insightful approach to fostering learning and well-being in diverse learners. I am committed to creating inclusive environments that empower students to overcome barriers and achieve academic success.
My teaching style
My teaching style is adaptive and student-centered, focusing on breaking down complex concepts into understandable and engaging lessons tailored to individual needs. I emphasize empathy and patience to support learners facing SEND and SEMH challenges, employing clear explanations and fostering critical thinking to build confidence and resilience. I strive to create a safe, encouraging space where all students feel understood and motivated to reach their potential.
My Proudest Achievements
I am proud to have led a team in the Women In STEM Society to organize impactful workshops and mentorship programs supporting 35 students in pursuing STEM fields, fostering an inclusive community. Additionally, my volunteering work with Reading Roots allowed me to lead reading sessions and design lesson plans that promote literacy and storytelling, particularly benefiting young learners with diverse learning levels and needs. My entrepreneurial role in tutoring and admissions guidance has further enabled me to develop tailored educational materials and effective communication strategies for varied audiences.
